Report the theft at your nearest SAPS police station and obtain a CAS number, then contact your network provider (Vodacom, MTN, Cell C, or Telkom) and ask them to blacklist the handset's IMEI number so it cannot be used on any South African network. The network will usually ask for the IMEI number and may ask for the CAS number or a sworn affidavit. You can find your IMEI on the phone's original box or by dialling *#06# on the handset before it is lost.
